Teach your Little Boy How To Cook

Here’s why boys should learn cooking from young age.

In most cultures and nations people believe women should cook all the time. It’s their job, duty or whatever.

Well, first of all cooking is chemistry and art of eating something delicious, yummy.

In this article, I’m gonna explain to you my childhood with my Mom and why I’m angry at her for not teaching/allowing me how to cook.

My childhood with my Mom

I come from Central Asia, and there as in many parts of the world, people believe “Cooking is a girly, womanly or just woman ” thing.

Not only thing, but also duty, work, life etc.. it just depends on which part of the world you are talking about.

So anyway, in Central Asian countries, girls are taught/prepared from young age (how to be a woman ) for ex: cooking, washing and all the things women do when they get married.

I understand why they do this. It’s just in those parts of the world, for women life is all about that.

So why am I telling you this?

Because when I was younger like 10 or something my mom was teaching my elder sister all of these stuff.
One day in the kitchen, I saw my mom and my sister. My mom was teaching my sister how to cook. So it was interesting to me. I went there and said “Hey, mom I wanna learn cooking too”.

But she was so angry that she stuck a needle in my hand. Whenever I went there she basically tortured me differently each time. So eventually I decided that I can’t do that at home and let them do their things.

So why should you teach your boy how to cook?

Now it’s 2022, and I am 29. Guess what I am living alone for 11 years. I can’t even cook and eat something properly without buying it outside. Of course as I live alone now. nobody gonna hurt me for learning how to cook. I love my mom but whenever I am hungry and cook I just always remember my mom and this situation.

I think everyone should learn:

• how to cook
• clean
• do the dishes
• and all the other work that they say “girly or women thing”

Why ?

Because eventually one day you’ll be living completely on your own. Nobody has to do these for you and nobody will do these for you. It’s gonna be your problem.
I learned most of the stuff thanks to Youtube.

Anyway, if you have a son. Teach him basic skills in life from young age. So when they grow and live alone or something. They know how to survive because at home he had so called mom&dad who taught him these survival skills.
