When you are new to something, it’s terrifying & you are confused.

For the most part, you don’t know what to do or how to follow a tutorial.

I’m gonna share my own experience, and I already made a complete article on that. Feel free to visit “The Problem with Learning Programming”.

Now let me answer the question:

I’m learning CSS grid. Do I have to memorize every command that’s used for grid? for example grid template columns ?

  1. You don’t have to memorize, but can take notes especially if you are a beginner to programming, X or Y topic. Maybe, you are not a native English speaker like me, who sometimes can’t make sense even of the words that’s written in programming.
  2. Take step-by-step courses.
  3. Code along with the instructor
  4. Try to complete the tutorial
  5. Build projects on your own (When you build projects, you won’t even need to memorize. It’ll just click)
  6. Google is your best friend to look up for keywords or how to’s
  7. Use your past experience. (Learning process is the same even the topics or subjects are diffferent)

That’s basically it. I tried to explain everything in a short way as the question was simple. And these are my own experiences that I felt each one myself.

If you’d like to add, something there’s a comment section & I’ll be glad to read each of your experiences.

Stay healthy, exercise, drink lots of water and Don’t watch too much TV.

See you next time.
